Situated in the rural village of Llangeinor, just a few miles north of Bridgend in the Garw Valley, the Green Meadow Inn offers guests a warm welcome, and serves a fine selection of beers, wines, soft drinks and snacks. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, and horse riders you can enjoy your drink in the comfort of our bar or lounge, or on the outdoor sun deck.
Situated about mid way up the Garw Valley is the historic village of Llangeinor, the birth place of the famous 18th century philosopher Richard Price.
Commanding a position high on the mountainside of Llangeinor you will find the historic church which has inspiring views of the beautiful valley.
Further up the valley are the old coal mining communities of Pontycymmer and Blaengarw. Naturally the pits are long gone, but regeneration has created some fantastic lakes, parks and scenery.
Surrounding the valley are large areas of woodland, forests and common land easily accessible and perfect for hikers, horse riders and mountain bikes.
Probably the best way to explore the valley would be by bicycle or on foot using the Garw Valley Community Route which runs for about 8 miles (13km) from Bryngarw Country Park, Brynmenyn to Blaengarw.
Of course, if you need a break from your riding, walking or cycling and need refreshments then you'll be welcome at the Green Meadow Inn.
We look forward to seeing you...
